The check engine light on our 2017 Jeep came on. We thought maybe the gas cap wasn't secured so we gave that a shot and disconnected the battery to reboot the warning system but to no avail. We didn't have a local mechanic but we noticed that Frontline in Babylon had great online reviews so we gave them a try. These guys truly are a group of honest, knowledgeable, respectable mechanics. After running the diagnostics they methodically ruled out one possibility after another. According to the diagnostic code this was going to be major repair job, but they checked and ruled out every possibility that it could be something else that's triggering the code. This is how true pro's attack a problem rather than changing multiple parts and billing a customer for all the parts & labor but not knowing what the root cause was. They even went so far as to change the oil & filter to see if it the wrong type of oil was used. They kept the vehicle for several days trying one thing after another but it looked like the major repair was inevitable. so we agreed to move forward. When it dawned on us to call corporate and complain about a major component failing after only 24k miles. Turns out this component was under warranty. So we immediately contacted Frontline and told them of this news. And not to move forward with the repair. After all of that, Frontline did not charge us for the work they did. We can't tell you how honorable that was. Talk about a breath of fresh air ! These guys truly are a rare find. We'll be taking our cars to them for all of our repairs from here on in... You should too !
